General Informatics celebrated their 20th anniversary, a year marked with many exciting developments which the company is now sharing with the public.

With a continuously growing portfolio of diverse technology offerings, General Informatics helps clients enjoy momentous growth through innovations in technology and service delivery.
LSU graduate and founder Mohit “Mo” Vij is thrilled to see how his company has grown. Today, General Informatics boasts an exemplary team of more than 60 engineers, programmers, and designers. Some projections show the headcount eclipsing 100 before the end of the calendar year.
The company, which is the fastest growing IT services provider in the Southeast, is the leading IT partner for businesses, schools, and government agencies spanning the Gulf Coast.
Currently, most of General Informatics’ clients are based in Louisiana and the surrounding states, but the company is now announcing that they are entering their next phase of growth which includes strengthening its position in Louisiana and eventually entering markets in select areas of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and the pan handle of Florida.
General Informatics began their expansion in 2016 with the acquisition of a fellow IT firm – Teknarus. Then, in 2018, an acquisition of TCTelecom was completed. These moves unified Louisiana’s top technical talent and brought them all under one roof and has led to the next stage of development just announced by General Informatics. In 2020, General Informatics partnered with Rosewood Private Investments and has aggressive growth plans that include both organic and growth through acquisition.
The new partnership with Rosewood Private Investments will also offer a long list of benefits to customers. For instance, General Informatics will have the ability to invest in the latest technology, attract top talent, and better serve the needs of specific industries.
Also in recent news, General Informatics named a new president, Don Monistere, who joined the General Informatics team in November 2020. Don is thrilled at the opportunity to expand the reach of General Informatics while keeping their roots and corporate headquarters right here in Baton Rouge.
Since its launch, General Informatics has been on the radar of many. For instance, they were named a Inc. 500 fastest growing company on seven different occasions, and Microsoft named them a top tech solution in the United States. Additionally, they were included in LSU’s Top 100 Companies list seven times. If history is any indication, General Informatics is on a steady rise to the top in 2021.
